The “Master of Arts in Computational Linguistics” at Heidelberg University is a consecutive program in which mathematical and logical features of natural language are examined and develops algorithms and statistical processes for automatic language processing. The duration of the study is four semesters and is conducted entirely in English. The course encompasses the topics of Computer science and programming, Theoretical and empirical foundations for formal statistical language modelling and Algorithms in computational linguistics. Students further develop and expand their acquired knowledge and practical skills from the bachelor’s degrees. Graduates develop the ability to create statistical models and apply artificial intelligence methods to achieve a specific technological outcome.
