Description
The “Bachelor of Arts in Computational Linguistics” course at Heidelberg University studies how human language can be processed and interpreted automatically. The program focuses on exploring the mathematical and logical features of natural language and develops algorithms and statistical processes for automatic language processing. The duration of the minor (25%) program is six semesters and is studied in German and English. Students acquire knowledge in the areas of Information Extraction, semantic processing, machine learning, multilingual language processing and others. In addition, the training provides lecturers and seminars where students gain in-depth aspects of theoretical and applied computational linguistics.
