Description
The state examination program “Dentistry” at Heidelberg University focuses on diseases of the teeth, jaw and mouth, as well as their treatment. The focus of the program is on the interdisciplinary integration of individual dental or medical disciplines. The practice- and patient-oriented course of study lasts ten semesters. The curriculum includes anatomy, physics, chemistry, histology, biochemistry, physiology, prosthetics, restoration, orthodontics and other topics. Students learn various methods of dental treatment and techniques of oral surgery. Finally, the exam consists of an oral and a practical component.
