Description
The “Bachelor of Arts in East Asian Art History” course at Heidelberg University focuses on art, archaeology and the material culture of China, Japan, and parts of Korea. Thus, the program includes the study of painting and calligraphy, sculpture and architecture, ceramics, handiwork and photography, represented in all epochs, from the Neolithic Age to the present. The minor-25% practice-oriented course runs over six semesters and is in German and English. Students develop intercultural and interdisciplinary competencies, as well as language skills and competence on East Asian topics.
