The “Bachelor of Arts in Education Studies” study course at Heidelberg University introduces students to the processes of professionalization in education. The major-75% runs over six semesters and is conducted in German and English. The syllabus encompasses topics of child-raising, socialization and education, teaching and learning, consultation, and innovation. During the course, students receive an introduction to the fundamentals of Educational Science, acquire different approaches and questions of Educational Science, learn the educational processes of individuals and their framework conditions in society, participate in the EASI-Day, and have an internship. Graduates find professional realization in customer-oriented and organization-oriented positions.
