The extended subject program “Master of Education in French” at Heidelberg University has a continuation of four semesters. The course aims to qualify students in-depth with knowledge in Romance languages, their literature, and cultures. The training focuses on the French-speaking world. Students gain knowledge of literary studies, cultural studies, linguistics, language practice and Subject didactics. Graduates obtain a Master of Education degree program with French as an extension subject, and they are qualified to teach at Germany’s highest secondary school level. To apply for this course, candidates should hold a polyvalent Bachelor's program with the option of teaching or a relevant Bachelor's or Master's program with the professional goal of becoming a teacher.
