Description

The program “Bachelor of Arts in French/Romance Studies” at Heidelberg University deals with Romance languages, literature and cultures and concentrates on languages, literature and cultures in the French-speaking world. The major-50% is six semesters long and is taught in German and French. The program comprises the four areas of Literary Studies, Linguistics, Cultural studies and Language practice. Students acquire the awareness to speak and write fluently, work with complex modern texts, translate all kinds of texts into French and other beneficial abilities. Graduates develop a good knowledge of pivotal methods and analytical procedures of the relevant sub-disciplines of Romance Studies.
