The consecutive program “Master of Arts in French/Transcultural Studies: Literature and Language Contact Within the Francophone Area” at Heidelberg University has a duration of four semesters and is in French, German and English. The master study focuses on the literary, cultural and linguistic manifestations of Francophone culture and transcultural studies. The course concentrates on variants of the French language and culture, as well as literary traditions. During the first three semesters, students study French language, Francophone literature and cultural studies, and then spend abroad at a partner university.
