Description
The consecutive course “Master of Arts in Geoarchaeology” at Heidelberg University investigates the link between human’s activity through time on the environment in terms of the existing archaeological remnants. The program lasts four semesters. The syllabus includes analysis and environmental archives, geoarchaeological fieldwork, and contemporary cultural, spatial research. The training highly concentrates on field and laboratory work. Students have the opportunity to select compulsory elective modules to develop their interests. Graduates have theoretical and practical knowledge and competencies and can independently identify and contextualize problems specific to a given situation and conduct and instruct responsible fieldwork.
