The major-50% program “Bachelor of Science in Geography” at Heidelberg University has a continuation of six semesters and is in German and English. During specializations, students gain practical experience in various methods of data collection and interpretation. The course includes site observation, aerial and satellite imaging, laboratory methods, statistical analyses, and many other activities. Students have internships outside of the university, the graduates have gained their first practical geographic experience in a possible future occupational field. Graduates of the bachelor's degree program in geography possess fundamental knowledge of the terms, theories and concepts of physical Geography, Human Geography and Geoinformatics.
