Description
The vocational teaching degree programme component “Master of Education in German” at Heidelberg University has a duration of four semesters. The program focuses on the German language and literature from their origin to the present day, exploring their social and cultural connections. The purpose of the education is to provide students with a practical, specialized and didactic knowledge of German that will enable them as teachers to develop the processes of teaching, learning and learning German. The curriculum is modular and requires attendance in two major seminars, three courses in German didactics, the Blended Module and a final module, consisting of a concluding colloquium and presentation of the Master's thesis or a lecture. In addition, the training offers a mixed module that enables inter-university cooperation with the University of Education in Heidelberg. Students acquire and develop the practical, methodological and theoretical foundations necessary for professional career entry.
