The study course “Bachelor of Arts in Greek/Classical Philology” at Heidelberg University is the study of Ancient Greek through the perspective of literary studies and linguistics. The program concentrates on post-classical colloquialisms, the so-called Koine Greek, laying the foundations for the evolution of Modern Greek. The minor-25% lasts six semesters, and the language of instruction is German and English. The training offers students a choice between specializations in Greek literature or Greek linguistics.
