The extension master course “Master of Education in Greek” at Heidelberg University is four semesters long. The program explores Ancient Greek from the perspective of literary studies and linguistics. The culture of Ancient Greece is included in the curriculum so that students can better perceive and comprehend historical texts. Greek can be examined as a core or complementary subject in the course. Students in the program of education extension in Greek use their specialized subject knowledge to analyze topics in light of didactic principles and prepare them appropriately for classroom teaching.
