The consecutive course “Master of Science in Health Services Research and Implementation Science in Health Systems” at Heidelberg University strives to provide students with a solid basis in health services research and principles of implementation science. The period of the training is four semesters long and is in German and English. The syllabus includes the areas of study of Health care research and implementation science, Health care systems, Scientific principles and methods, Areas of application in health care research and implementation science and Master’s thesis and colloquium. Students acquire the skills to use tools and methods to plan and conduct successful trials in an efficient, sustainable and responsible manner. The course offers optional internships or work placements to enable students to put the theory they have learned into practice.
