The minor-25% program “Bachelor of Arts in History” at Heidelberg University is a study that explores, analyzes and interprets the different periods in which people have lived and their way of life, and examines events and their consequences in the subsequent world and covers history from different eras. The course includes six semesters and is instructed in German, English and sometimes in other languages. The training provides lectures, seminar discussion, joint source interpretation, plenary discussion, work in small groups, e-learning and individual supervision. Students gain the competencies to approach and solve historical research questions independently. Graduates could pursue a career in the fields of State and private archives, Historical museums and exhibitions, Universities and research institutes, History marketing and history agencies, Media and communication, Cultural institutions and cultural sponsoring and more opportunities.
