The “Bachelor of Arts in History” course at Heidelberg University is six semesters long and is in German, English and some cases in other languages. The major-50% examines, analyzes and interprets different epochs in which people lived and their ways of life, and deals with events and their consequences in the ensuing world. The curriculum includes theoretical and practical courses, seminar discussion, joint source interpretation, plenary discussion, working in small groups, e-learning and individual supervision. Students are capable of explaining fundamental concepts and issues of Ancient History, as well as review knowledge. Graduates can begin a career in State and private archives, Historical museums and exhibitions, History marketing and history agencies, Media and communication, Journalism, Political institutions and non-governmental organizations, and other more.
