The extension subject study program “Master of Education in History” at Heidelberg University has a continuation of four semesters. The program is a study that explores, analyses and interprets the different periods in which people lived and considers their way of life, as well as examining events and their consequences in the subsequent world.  The curriculum encompasses four periods, Ancient History, Medieval History, Modern History and Contemporary History. The course includes the disciplines such as American History, East European History, History of South Asia, History of East Asia and History of the Jewish People. Students expand and strengthen their experiential, conceptual and theoretical knowledge and explore the representation of history in social, cultural and political settings.
