The “Master of Education in History” degree program component offered at Heidelberg University has a continuation of four semesters. It aims to provide specialized knowledge as well as the ability for independent and scientific analysis of complicated historical processes. In addition, the training can focus either on theory and methodology or on specialized didactics. The syllabus comprises the four periods Ancient History, Medieval History, Modern History and Contemporary History. Students learn to deal with the planning, design and reflection of learning processes. The program requires proficiency in English and good knowledge of the Latin language.
