The continuing education course “Master of Science in International Health” at Heidelberg University is two semesters long, and the language of instruction is English. The program is oriented toward poverty-related health problems in low- and middle-income countries. The goal of the course is to provides students with a foundation in international public health principles and teaches them the necessary knowledge and competencies to execute and operate sustainable programs. The training allows students to attend the program full or part-time, making it convenient for working students. The syllabus includes three main components, the core course, advanced modules and thesis or oral examination. Students develop professional competencies such as research and problem-solving abilities, personal and social skills.
