The consecutive program “Master of Arts in Japanese Studies” at Heidelberg University concentrates on past and contemporary Japanese culture and society. The training places a significant emphasis on the acquisition of scientific methods and their application. The course has a continuation of four semesters and is instructed in German, English and Japanese. Graduates become specialists in the Japanese language, culture and history.
