The “Bachelor of Arts in Jewish Studies” program at Heidelberg University has a continuation of six semesters. The course explores the origins of Judaism, the history of the Jewish people, Jewish philosophy, art and literature, and multiple additional aspects of Jewish life in the present and past. Furthermore, the major-50% provides compulsory and elective modules from which students to choose. The curriculum includes Introduction: The subject of Jewish Studies and its history, History, Bible, Jewish philosophy, Jewish literature and more subjects. Students acquire advanced language proficiency in modern Hebrew and biblical Hebrew.
