Description
The consecutive course “Master of Arts in Jewish Studies” at Heidelberg University has a continuation of four semesters. The program introduces students to the origins of Judaism, the history of the Jewish people, Jewish philosophy, art and literature from Antiquity to modern days. The course is designed for people who completed their bachelor’s degree and want to further extend and deepen their knowledge in this area. The curriculum consists of four extension modules, three intensive modules, a project module and the module relating to examination prerequisites. Throughout this program, students learn to present and analyze sources to understand the experiences of the Jewish people living in Germany. Finally, the course culminates with students writing a master's thesis.
