The “Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy” program at Heidelberg University is divided into Theoretical Philosophy and Practical Philosophy. The first one examines the potential and limits of cognition, the structure of consciousness, the relationship of the mind and material, as the second one considers human actions. The major (50%) training is modular and has a duration of six semesters. There are no admission restrictions, although students must have a fundamental knowledge of Latin or Greek before enrolling in the Bachelor's thesis.
