Description
The consecutive course „Master of Arts in Prehistory and Protohistory” at Heidelberg University is an archaeological discipline and represent history using material culture as a unique historical source of information about societies from the appearance of the first man to the present. The training includes four semesters and is taught in German and sometimes in English. The program concentrates on Europe and, in particular, on the development of early written societies, Mycenaean Greece, Late Antique and Early Medieval Europe. Students expand on the knowledge they have already gained from their Bachelor's degree and attend practical classes such as participating in field projects, seminars and have the opportunity to study abroad. Graduates can begin their career in museums, government, editing, foreign service, legal assistance and numerous other possibilities.
