Description

The study course “Bachelor of Arts in Protestant Theology” at Heidelberg University has a length of six semesters and is instructed in German and English. The program aims to teach students to discover people, texts and ideas in the past and the present. The minor (25%) encompasses the areas of Old Testament, New Testament, Church History, Systematic Theology, Religious Studies or Intercultural Theology and Practical Theology among which students choose one to specialize in-depth. Students gain historical knowledge of the major texts related to the Christian faith and their interpretations, as well as various methods for studying the Christian religions. Graduates can find a career as religious advisors, teachers, historians, counsellors and more opportunities.
