The course of studies “Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies” at Heidelberg University has a length of six semesters and is instructed in German and English. The program is a study of different religions in historical, cultural and societal contexts in both past and present. The major (50%) consists of a theoretical-methodological component and a religious-historical component. Students choose their area of specialization and develop following their goals. They gain knowledge, in theory, of religious history and acquire various methods for collecting data.
