The study course “Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies” at Heidelberg University studies the different religions in historical, cultural and societal contexts in both past and present. The training lasts six semesters and is in German and English. The major-75% focuses on the different actions of religious persona, institutions, narrations and practices in their respective historical cultures from the past to the contemporary. Students develop a profound theoretical and practical knowledge and acquire strong analytical, critical and language competencies. Graduates can enter an occupation in religious institutions and organizations, teaching, counselling and other possibilities.
