The program “Master of Arts in Slavic and East European Studies” at Heidelberg University has a continuation of four semesters. The course teaches students the languages, literature, and history of the Slavic countries from cultural studies and interdisciplinary perspectives. The training provides the opportunity for students to tailor their program according to the wanted area of specialization. In addition, the course offers the areas Literary Studies, Linguistics, East European History and undergraduates can choose one or a combination of two of these to their focus. Students choose two Slavic languages to study from Russian, Polish, Czech, Serbo-Croatian and Bulgarian. Graduates can start a job in academia, research organizations, translating, linguistics, business, tourism and multiple other possibilities.
