The “Bachelor of Arts in South Asian Studies” program at Heidelberg University provides students with education on the geographical, social and economic aspects of South Asian culture combined with historical and philological aspects. In addition, the course examines linguistic and cultural traditions, as well as a broad area of contemporary, modern regional studies. The major-50% lasts six semesters and is in German, English, possibly South Asian languages.
