The consecutive extension subject course “Master of Education in Sport” at Heidelberg University is four semesters long. The program works with and for people and contains core themes related to movement, play and sport, school sport, amateur sport, sport for excellence and sport for health. Students acquire theoretical and practical knowledge, as well as excellent didactic skills. Finally, the program culminates with writing and defending a master’s thesis. Graduates receive high qualification skills and can begin a career in a teaching position at grammar schools in the subject of sports.
