With a total duration of five trimesters, the master degree program “Master of Science in Computer Aided Engineering” is provided by the Helmut Schmidt University. The course is oriented into the field of applied computer science and includes the engineering sciences of mechanical engineering and electrical engineering as applications focused on IT security and IT management. Participants gain an important understanding in the fields of subclass structure of IT systems, management of IT systems and application of IT systems as well as computing system structures such as computer architecture, technology and computer networks. During the application of IT systems participants master the ability in programming in a high-level programming language, comprehend the operating systems, databases, cryptography, software engineering and more. IT management focuses on mastering the administrative part of operating systems and computer networks, as well as the structures, roles and processes in a modern data center. In addition, an internship is offered through the program.
