The “Master of Arts in History” degree is offered by the Helmut Schmidt University with total duration of five trimesters. The program teaches participants how to independently take on wide range of academic work, while developing their own research questions and tasks. By enabling students to develop their interests individually, the focus in the master degree falls on expanding the individual profile already acquired in the bachelor course. After successfully completing the master degree, graduates will be professionally qualified for their future profession in a multidisciplinary manner for various areas of application. “Master of Arts in History” expands and deepens the fundamental knowledge and comprehension by adding to students many general skills to their profile and preparing them to further pursue a higher education program which is doctoral studies. At the end of the course, students prepare a master’s thesis.
