With a duration of seven trimesters, the “Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering” is provided by Helmut Schmidt University. The program can also be taken in English, French, Spanish and Russian. During the first and fourth trimester, participants are able to obtain fundamental knowledge in math, natural science, chemistry, electrical engineering, thermodynamics, materials science and psychics. During the third and fourth trimester prospective students form an important understanding of Electronic data processing and technical drawing (CAD) which provides the basis in the field of engineering-related subjects. In order to intensively prepare the prospective students for their future work, the “Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering” focuses on design, manufacture and operation of technical products in the form of machines and their components as well as of systems for processing energy, materials and signals. When successfully complete the bachelor, graduates can select a master program from the field of Mechanical Engineering such as Environmental Engineering, Automotive Engineering, New Product Development and Logistics.
