The “Master of Science in Mechatronics” program has a duration of five trimesters and is provided by the Helmut Schmidt University. By focusing primarily on applied mechanics and automation technology as the cornerstones of mechatronics, the program provides to the students a strong knowledge in Mechatronics-related areas, including mathematics, numerics, mechanics, fluid mechanics, machine dynamics, computer science and control engineering. In order to form their capability the course includes the specific compulsory subject “Mechatronic Systems”. Through their study, participants take several elective courses with different duration and are also able to select a specialization. Furthermore, prospective students have the opportunity to choose between the main areas of applied mechanics, automation technology or military technology.
