The seven-trimester program “Bachelor of Arts in Political Science” is provided by the Helmut Schmidt University and teaches professionally the students systematic insights into the normative foundations of political thinking. The program consists of compulsory and optional modules and at the final module students must complete a bachelor thesis to determine their already acquired knowledge. “Bachelor of Arts in Political Science” is geared towards teaching how to identify the political core of domestic social and international processes in depth. Participants learn and master how to analyze in political area by using methods and theory as a base, as well as earn important comprehension in fields of sociology, administrative science, law, system-specific political contexts and the political system as a whole. The course also teaches students how to form their opinion independently based of a scientific and realistic approach.
