The eight-semester degree program “Bachelor of Music in Artistic Organ Playing” offered by the University of Protestant Church Music in Bayreuth emphasizes on the training of artists and expansion of their repertoire with organ music from all periods to the present. Instrumental practical subjects such as piano and harpsichord, and instrumental pedagogical materials are added to the later professional profile. The main focus of the program is the creating of skills that help students to acquire, interpret and present organ works from all stylistic periods. Students gain expertise in various keyboard instruments applicable to the field, and also broaden their knowledge of literature. The Bachelor` s thesis, which is the final part of the degree program, should be focused on music pedagogical topics form the artistic core field.
