The degree program “Bachelor of Music in Conducting / Major in Choral Conducting” offered by the University of Protestant Church Music in Bayreuth provides artistic training for conductors, coming from different levels of choral conducting. The course of studies is divided into various modules, such as vocal practice and music education. “Orchestra conducting” classes are studied for students to open up to various professional perspectives. The focal point of the curriculum is the systematic teaching of all conducting competences that help for the development of artistically flexible conductors, ready to work in versatile styles and at all levels of choral conducting. The Bachelor` s thesis, which is the final part of the degree program, should be focused on music pedagogical topics form the artistic core field.
