The degree program “Master of Music in Protestant Church Music” is the highlight of all offered by the University of Protestant Church Music in Bayreuth Master`s programs. It is available for applicant, who don’t have a prior degree in church music and it gives the opportunity to the students to go after their interests, going beyond the classical canon of subjects. The goal of the course of study is the development of independent musicians, who can contribute versatile skills both in liturgical worship as well as on the concert stage. Students also have the possibility to gain expertise in the following intensification modules: core area conducting, organ, organistic practice, instrumental practice, vocal practice, and theological contexts.
