The dual degree program “Bachelor of Music in Elementary Music Education” at HfMT Hamburg lasts eight semesters. The course provides Elementary Music Pedagogy (EMP) and instrumental/vocal specialization, and not only classical instruments can be chosen, but also jazz. The program focuses on practical and scientifically oriented pedagogical subjects with artistic training.  Graduates can pursue careers in music schools, public schools, independent organisations, cultural institutions or freelance work. The admission requirement is for students to have a general university entrance qualification.
