The “Master of Music in Guitar” course at HfMT Hamburg has a length of four semesters. The program aims to teach students one of the main instruments used in all the music genres. The course covers three eras of guitar study: early music, classical and romantic music, and new music. During the Master's studies, students further develop their competencies in the field of auditory education, didactics, music theory, music history, pedagogical skills and universal mediation skills. Graduates have great prospects for future careers as they have mastered the guitar that plays a fundamental role in the genres of jazz, country, blues, folk, jota, metal, punk, reggae, rock, soul, pop and many other genres.
