Description
The “Master of Music in Jazz Composition” program at HfMT Hamburg consists of four semesters. The course aims to develop artists to be independent and prepare them for the international professional scene. The syllabus includes a Major in jazz composition, practical projects with the NDR big band, conducting, approaches to new music theory, approaches to new music analysis, and elective modules. Students acquire and deepen their compositional skills and their artistic personalities. An admission requirement is a completed or incomplete bachelor's degree.
