The “Bachelor of Music in Violoncello” program at HfMT Hamburg has a duration of eight semesters. In this major, the aspiration is to prepare students both theoretically and with lots of practice. In addition, students develop competencies in the fundamentals of teaching skills, mediation, instrumental didactics and methodology, and in the basics of instrumental training. Graduates become professional instrumentalists and meet the demands of public concert life. The admission requirement is a completed general higher education entrance qualification (Abitur).
