The HfÖV Bremen, founded in 1979, is a public administration school whose task is to train senior police officers, to carry out further training programs to the federal police of Bremen, and to do research about and for the police within the scope of the Institute of Police and Safety Research. The range of studies offered at HfÖV Bremen includes three study programs: “Tax and Law“, “Risk and Safety Management“, and “Law Enforcement“. “Tax and Law“ (LL. B.) is an eight-semester Bachelor degree program, either in the form of a training-accompanying part-time program which combines the vocational training as a tax clerk with a degree program, or in the form of a practice-integrated full-time program. “Risk and Safety Management“ (B.A.) is a six-semester full-time program aimed at preparing students for working in middle-level management of corporate security as well as in the field of crisis and emergency management. “Law Enforcement“ (B.A.) is a six-semester study program that teaches both theoretical and practical knowledge of law enforcement.
