The digital revolution has enabled the emergence of many new sectors and fields of study, one of which is E-Health. E-Health is a very new academic discipline that focuses on the incorporation of electronic processes and technology into healthcare practices. E-Health is developing at a fast pace and currently introducing the use of artificial intelligence and technological innovation in the healthcare system. A degree program in E-Health is challenging, but extremely prospective. E-Health university programs are interdisciplinary, combining topics from business administration, computer science and medicine, and typically teach subjects like Medical Informatics, Clinical Research and Epidemiology, Health Management, IT Management, Data and Information Science, Health Economics, Healthcare Systems and more. E-Health studies provide students with theoretical knowledge and understanding of various concepts in healthcare, as well as opportunities to gain professional experience through projects and internships. The most valuable skills for E-Health graduates are adaptability, critical assessment skills, creative problem-solving competence, analytical thinking, as well as leadership, communication and teamwork skills. Potential careers related to E-Health include jobs in the IT departments of hospitals, health insurance companies, medical IT companies, e-prescribing, telemedicine, electronic health data management and others.
