The study program “Bachelor of Science in Applied Computer Science” with a duration of six semesters is provided by the Hochschule Mittweida University of Applied Sciences. Participants entering in the course have the chance to choose between two different specializations: Software development, or IT security. Depending on their specialization, students learn how to develop complex software systems and programs, as well as how to protect these systems from hacker attacks. Curriculum includes both theoretical and practical lectures such as Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, Programming, Operating Systems, Software Engineering, where students will also learn complex computer methods. Successful completion of “Applied computer science” leads to professional career in the IT sector.
