The six-semester degree program “Bachelor of Science in General and Digital Forensic Science” is offered by the Hochschule Mittweida University of Applied Sciences. The goal of the course is to provide participants with fundamental knowledge of computer science and digitalization. Students have the chance to learn how to analyze and evaluate digital data from crime scenes, which can be used in court. The study plan for the particular discipline includes theoretical lectures such as Mathematics, Big Data, Computer Science, General Forensics, Encryption Technology, Databases, Criminal Law and Criminology, Network Forensics. By the end of their studies, participants are able to design and develop complex computer systems. Upon successful completion of the course, graduates are qualified for career in companies and institutions in the field of IT security.
