The study program “Master of Science in Genomic Biotechnology” provided by the Hochschule Mittweida University of Applied Sciences is with a duration of four semesters. The aim of the discipline is to teach students the fundamentals of both natural sciences and technologies. Participants have the chance to learn how to independently apply in practice complex molecular biological and bioinformatic methods. The study plan includes lectures, seminars and practical exercises. Some of the main subjects are Biomathematics, Molecular Modeling, Machine Learning, Databases, Synthetic Biology, Nanobiotechnology, where participants will familiarize themselves with the biotechnological processes. Graduates have a wide range of career prospects, for example in pharmaceutical and chemical industry, food industry, software development and more.
