The study program “Bachelor of Science in IT Security” offered by the Hochschule Mittweida University of Applied Sciences has a duration of six-semester. The goal of the course is to provide students with in-depth theoretical and practical computer knowledge. They become familiar with the basics of information and communication technologies, and learn how to protect them from cyberattacks. Curriculum includes both theoretical and practical subjects like Computer Science, IT Security, Basics of Computer and Operating Systems and Networks, Mathematics, Business Administration, as well as practical internship. By the end of their studies, participants are familiar with complex computer methods, and can apply them independently in practice. After successful completion of the course, graduates are prepared for professional career in small and medium-sized enterprises, or public authorities.
