The HS Aschaffenburg – University of Applied Sciences, founded in 1995, is a Bavarian higher education institution with more than 3,000 students. It is split up into two faculties: the Faculty of Business and Law, and the Faculty of Engineering. The scope of studies exclusively includes Bachelor and Master programs. The standard period for study for Bachelor programs is seven semesters, and three semesters for Master programs. Moreover, the HS Aschaffenburg is the only Bavarian higher education institution to offer the study courses “International Real Estate Management“ and “International Technical Sales Managment“. For anyone who seeks to take part in further training programs on a part-time basis, HS Aschaffenburg provides the extra-occupational Bachelor course “Electrical Engineering and Information Technology“ and the correspondence Master course “Electrical Engineering“, which is offered in partnership with the Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences and the Central Office for Distance Learning (ZFH –Zentralstelle für Fernstudien an Fachhochschulen). What is more, students of the HS Aschaffenburg also benefit from the Center for Scientific Service and Transfer (ZeWiS – Zentrum für Wissenschaftliche Services und Transfer), a research facility where students are provided with the opportunity to deal with current research questions from various research areas within the scope of their Bachelor’s and Master’s theses.
