Description
The “Master of Arts in Architecture’’ study program offered by the Hochschule Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences is a four-semesters program, created by the Faculty of Architecture of Peter Behrens School of Arts (PBSA). The course is primarily focused on the different aspects of design and building construction. The program includes all interdisciplinary subjects needed to gain a strong knowledge base for the professional qualification of an architect. The participants are expected to understand the basic principles and interconnections between architecture, urban design, spatial design and theory. The course includes an extensive practice too. Among the key subjects of the course are: Spatial Design Aspects, Urban Design and Theory, History and Development of Heritage Conservation, Advanced Lighting Design, Ecology and Energy in an Urban Context, Advanced Construction Management, Civic Design Theory, etc. The graduates can pursue a career in different areas, including architecture, construction management and supervision, heritage conservation, housing, project development, urban and regional planning.
